What is Osmo, and how does it work?
This came into existence because we were constantly digging through old projects wondering, ‘How did I build that again?’ It is basically our personal toolbox, opened up for you. Osmo is designed to help developers build websites people remember. It’s essentially a growing personal toolbox packed with ready-to-use components, techniques, code snippets, and tutorials. The Vault, our core library, is organized for quick access, making it easy to find and implement what you need to streamline your workflow. We’re constantly updating the Vault because we’re still working on a lot of exciting client projects, where we’re always coming up with new techniques and ideas.
Who is Osmo for?
Osmo is specifically built for creative web developers who want to enhance their skills, streamline their workflows, and create award-worthy projects. Whether you’re a freelancer, part of an agency, or an individual working on personal projects, Osmo has something for you.
How often is new content added to the platform?
New content is added very regularly to keep the Vault fresh and relevant. Whether it’s animations, tutorials, or components, we’re always working on new ideas to expand what’s available. Since Dennis and Ilja both work on client projects all the time, new solutions and animations are added constantly.
What types of content are included in the vault?
The Vault contains a rich collection of resources, such as: Ready-to-Use Components, Educational Content, Osmo Basics, and Code Snippets. And much more—new content is always being added, including advanced techniques and larger components.
Can I use Osmo resources for both personal and commercial projects?
Yes, you can use Osmo’s resources in both personal and commercial projects. However, redistribution or reselling of the resources is not permitted. Please refer to our licensing terms for full details.
What’s included in the subscription plan?
The subscription plan unlocks access to the full Vault of resources, complete with ready-to-use components, code snippets, tutorials, and more. You’ll also join our Slack community to connect with other developers, share insights, and provide feedback.
Can I suggest a tutorial or resource for Osmo to create?
Absolutely! We value input from all members of the community. Whether you’re a Founding Member or not, you can share your suggestions directly with us, and we’ll prioritize creating resources that align with what our audience needs most. If you haven't already, make sure to join us in Slack—find an invite in your account!
What’s the pricing, and do I lock in my price?
We offer a couple of pricing plans: €25/month (billed quarterly), €20/month (billed yearly), or a lifetime plan for €360 (limited to 100 Founding Members). Once the Founding Member seats are sold out, 250 Lifetime Plans are available for €499. Once you subscribe, your price is locked in for life, as long as you remain a member. No unexpected price hikes—ever.
What makes Osmo’s resources unique?
Osmo is created by two award-winning developers who face the same challenges you do when building high-quality websites. These are the exact tools, techniques, and code we rely on in our own day-to-day projects. The resources reflect our best practices and include clean, customizable code, clear documentation, and video explanations. Everything is structured to empower developers to not just use the tools but to learn and grow their skills.
How can I contact support if I have an issue?
If you need help, you can reach out directly to Dennis or Ilja via email or through our Slack community. We’re here to assist with any questions, feedback, or issues you might encounter.
Are there video walkthroughs available for the resources?
Yes, many of our resources include video walkthroughs. These explain the concepts behind the code, provide deeper insights, and might even inspire you with new ideas for your own projects.
How do I get help with a resource I found?
If you’re stuck or need guidance, feel free to reach out via the Slack community. Keep in mind, though, that we don’t have the capacity to do development work for everyone’s projects. For specific integration help, we encourage you to lean on the community or tools like ChatGPT to troubleshoot.
Do you have tutorials for beginners?
Right now, our tutorials aren’t specifically catered to skill levels, but we do offer Osmo Basics, which dives into foundational concepts and components. These are great starting points for anyone looking to learn some things we consider to be essentials.
Can I request custom resources or tutorials?
Absolutely! We welcome suggestions for resources or tutorials that align with what our audience needs. While we can’t guarantee every request will be fulfilled, we actively prioritize those that resonate with the community.
Do you offer live support or community forums?
We don’t currently have the capacity to offer live support, but our Slack community serves as an interactive space where members can collaborate, share insights, and help each other with challenges. Who knows? This might change in the future as we grow!
What should I do if I find a bug in a snippet or template?
If you spot a bug, please report it to us via email, in the Slack community, or use the Support form through the footer on this page. To help us resolve the issue quickly, include as much detail as possible, such as: Browser and version, screen size, and steps to reproduce the issue.
Is there a refund policy for purchases?
Yes, we offer refunds under certain conditions. If you’re unsatisfied or have an issue with a purchase, reach out to us, and we’ll work with you to find a resolution.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. After cancellation, you’ll retain access until the end of your current billing cycle. However, we can’t promise you the same price if you decide to rejoin later.
How do I update my billing information?
To update your billing details, log into your account, open the settings, go to “Billing,” and edit your payment information. Any changes will be applied to the next billing cycle.
Can I change my subscription plan later?
Yes, you can switch between quarterly and yearly billing options at any time through your account settings in the dashboard. If you decide to upgrade to the lifetime plan, the price will reflect the current offering at the time of your upgrade.
Is my account information secure?
Absolutely. We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to ensure your account and payment details are fully protected. If you have any concerns, feel free to reach out to support.
What’s the difference between a subscription and a lifetime option?
With a subscription, you pay a recurring fee (billed quarterly or yearly) to access the full Vault, receive regular updates, and join the community. The lifetime option offers all the same benefits for a one-time payment, ensuring permanent access without ongoing costs. As a special offer, Osmo Lifetime members will also receive this very website as a resource—either as a Webflow cloneable or a folder with the HTML, CSS, and JS files. A very unique opportunity to receive a project, built exactly how we would develop client sites.
